Little man

Filming began in the second half of August 2014 in the forests of the Pisek county of the South Bohemian Region . ^[one]

The dolls were created by Frantisek Antonin Skala, the collective of the Prague puppet theater Buchty a loutky took part in the filming. ^[2]

The authors of the plot are Lenka Uglirzhova and Jiri Stakh (based on the book “The Big Man’s Big Journey”). .

The premiere in Slovakia took place on April 30, 2015, in the Czech Republic on May 14, 2015. Budget - CZK 14 million.

The little man lives quietly in his own little world, and since he has plenty of food, he doesn’t really want to go anywhere. But Little Man has a dream, and with dreams, as we all know, it is always difficult to live, because they never leave us (even the smallest) alone. Waking up, the Little Man is surprised to realize that he is missing something. And so, albeit reluctantly, he leaves his cozy home and sets off on a journey to finally look at the root of the problem. What can he find on the way?

The film was shown in the Canary Islands and in Shanghai . It is planned to show the film at the International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Tehran . ^[3]

The film was nominated for the Czech Film Critics Award in the category “Audiovisual Debut”.
