This album began with the single Amami, available as of March 22 of that year, completely written by the singer herself, who also signed the single In Every Corner of Me. Through her Facebook page and the official newsletter, that the singer made the cover and track list for this album. Emma spoke of the album in the following words:

I started working on this album when I was full of doubts, fears and insecurities. The only knowledge is that I do not want to hide those who want to get out of this situation, I just wanted them to accept me. I grew up and you also grew all of us. Ho iniziato a lavorare a questo disco piena di dubbi, paure, incertezze. L'unica consapevolezza era quella di voler uscire allo scoperto, non volevo più nascondermi, volevo solo accettarmi ed accettare ogni parte di me. Sono cresciuta e siete cresciuti anche tutti voi.
