The Israeli Civil Guard ( Hebrew המשמר האזרחי , Mishmar Ezrahi ) is a volunteer paramilitary organization created to help the Israeli police .

Content
History
The Civil Guard was created on July 10, 1974 after a series of terrorist attacks committed after the Doomsday War and, in particular, after the Maalot massacre . Later, the focus shifted from anti-terrorism patrols to day-to-day police assistance in the fight against crime and domestic violence.
