Biography

Felice Leonardo Baskaglia was born in Los Angeles, California March 31, 1924 in a family of Italian immigrants . [1] He spent his early childhood in the Italian city of Aosta before returning to the United States with the aim of receiving an education. [1] . Graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School . After serving in the Navy during World War II, Baskaglia entered the University of Southern California, where he was subsequently able to obtain three degrees (BA 1950; MA 1954; PhD 1963) until his final employment at the faculty. [1] After retiring, Baskaglia became a professor on special assignments.

The suicide of the student prompted the teacher at the University of Baskaglia to study the problems of human disunity and the meaning of life and organize an unreadable course called Love 1A. The teacher’s dynamic communication style attracted the attention of the Public Broadcasting Service , and during the 1980s his television lectures were very popular. Baskaglia's programs, shown during the fundraising period for PBS funding, ranked first in the donor list. Leo Baskaglia’s books have become New York Times bestsellers five times . " [2]

Leo Baskaglia died of a heart attack on June 12, 1998, at the age of 74, at his home in Glenburg, Nevada near Lake Tahoe [1] .
