Museum of the Vietnam Revolution ( Vietnamese. Viện Bảo tàng Cách mạng Việt Nam ) is a museum of the national liberation movement of the Vietnamese people located in the capital of the Republic of Vietnam, Hanoi .

The initiative to create the Vietnam Revolution Museum was approved by the Secretariat of the in September 1958 . By decision of the CPV Central Committee, the museum’s exposition, formed by four thematic sections and planned to be dedicated to the cultural, social and political history of Vietnam from ancient times to the present, was to be housed in 30 rooms. Subsequently, however, the museum’s exposition, located in four thematic sections, included materials entirely devoted to the national liberation struggle of the Vietnamese people for independence from the moment of the attack of the French fleet ships under the command of on the city of Danang in 1858 and to this day.
The grand opening of the museum took place on January 5, 1959, during which it was visited by Chairman of the CPV Central Committee Ho Chi Minh and Prime Minister Pham Van Dong , who recorded in the honorary book of his visitors:
