History
1947 - 1991
The plant was created in 1947 [1] , the production shops of the enterprise were located in a two-story brick building on the street. Shevchenko, 44 [2] .
It was the only enterprise of the USSR that produced machines for stitching fur, jute and paper bags [1] .
In 1965, the plant mastered the production of complex embroidery machines MV-50 and sewing machines 10 B class.
By the beginning of 1989, copyright certificates were obtained for 5 types of products created by the factory workers. By this time, in addition to machines for stitching fur, jute and paper bags, the plant also produced overcasting attachments for sewing machines, machines for cutting materials and machines for printing hinged trademarks. The plant’s products were supplied to the republics of the USSR and exported to 26 countries of the world [1] .
After 1991
After the independence of Ukraine, the plant became the only manufacturer of equipment for light industry in Ukraine.
On October 20, 1995, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine included the plant in the list of enterprises subject to privatization during 1995 [3] .
In 1996, the plant was transformed into an open joint stock company.
In August 1997, the plant was included in the list of enterprises of strategic importance for the economy and security of Ukraine [4] .
On August 30, 1999, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine left a controlling stake (in the amount of 25% + 1 share of the enterprise) in state ownership [5] , and on July 26, 2001, it decided to sell the remaining state-owned shares of the enterprise [6] .
In the summer of 2002, the plant was declared bankrupt, part of the equipment was dismantled and sold [7] .
By the beginning of 2008, the production workshops of the enterprise were partially redesigned into retail premises [8] .
