Scientific activity
For more than 30 years, Alexander Mikhailovich has been conducting research in the field of comparative psychophysiology of color perception of humans and animals according to the scheme of prof. E. N. Sokolova "Man - Neuron - Model". He developed and verified a model of the vector principle of processing sensory information in neural networks, and neurophysiologically substantiated a spherical model of the perception of light and color in humans and animals. This is a model that allows combining the results of behavioral and neurophysiological experiments studying color perception within a single metric system.
The scientific work of Alexander Mikhailovich Chernorizov was supported by grants from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation , the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation , and grants from the Russian Federal Property Fund and Russian Humanitarian Science Foundation . Also, an international grant from FOGARTY ( 1995 - 1997 ) for conducting research on human and monkey vision together with the Primatological Center of the University named after Washington ( USA , Seattle ).
