Biography
Born on August 21, 1914 in a peasant family in the village of Zarog, Poltava province. He graduated from four classes in an elementary school in his native village (1926). He began his career at the age of 15 as a loader at the Shterovskaya mine in the Luhansk region. In the 30s, he returned to his native village, where he began to work as a tractor driver and combine harvester on the Orzhitsa MTS.
After the liberation of the Poltava region from the German invaders, he was appointed in 1943 the foreman of the tractor brigade of the Lenin collective farm in the Orzhitsky district. He worked as a team leader until retirement. In 1966 he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor "for the successes achieved in increasing the production of wheat, rye, buckwheat and corn and other grain and fodder crops . "
In 1975 he retired. He lived in the village of Zarog, where he died in 1975.
