Karabanova, Olga Alexandrovna

In 1974 she graduated from the Department of Psychology of Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov ^[1] .

In 1979 she defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of psychological sciences on the topic "Formation of the graphic reproduction of a flat outline in older preschoolers" ^[4] . Since 1990, he is an assistant professor. In 2002 she defended her thesis for the degree of Doctor of Psychological Sciences on the topic "The social situation of the development of the child (structure, dynamics, principles of correction)." Since 2003, he is a professor in the Department of Developmental Psychology, Faculty of Psychology, Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov.

She published about 130 scientific and educational works on personality development in childhood and adolescence, as well as 10 monographs and teaching aids ^[4] .

Teaching activities

He lectures at the Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov : “Age Psychology”, “Psychology of Family Relations”, “Correction of the Child’s Mental Development”, “Diagnosis and Correction of Child-Parent Relations”, and “Age-Psychological Counseling”.

In collaboration with A. I. Podolsky, he is the scientific editor of the collection of programs of general and special disciplines of the curriculum for the training of certified psychologists, "Development Psychology and Developmental Psychology."

O. A. Karabanova contributed to the development of the Federal State Educational Standard ( GEF ) of general education. She also participated in the development of a program for the development and formation of universal educational activities for primary, basic and complete (secondary) education.

In order to provide scientific and methodological support to the Federal State Standard of Higher Professional Education in the direction of “Psychology”, she created programs in 5 disciplines that comprise the general professional and special professional component of training of a psychologist at the level of bachelor, specialist and master.

Under her leadership, she defended 21 dissertations for the degree of candidate of psychological sciences ^[4] .

Scientific activity

He is the author of the methodological foundations of optimization and correction of the child’s personal development, taking into account age-psychological characteristics, development tasks and the social development situation. She studied the conditions and factors of personality development in childhood and adolescence, disclosed the role of the family and child-parent relations in the formation of personality, created diagnostic techniques aimed at identifying the emotional and personal characteristics of the development of children and adolescents.

She was the first to develop a model for organizing the correction of the child’s mental development, which specifies the strategy and tactics of its implementation at each age stage of the child’s development.

Under the guidance of O. A. Karabanova and she personally determined the conditions, factors and stages of development of the moral competence of the individual and formulated recommendations in the field of moral development of the child, taking into account age-related psychological characteristics.

For the creation of a series of works in co-authorship “Forming Attitudes of Tolerant Behavior and Prevention of Risks of Xenophobia in the General Education System”, she was awarded the title of Laureate of the RF Government Prize in Education (2010) ^[5] .

In 2011, O. A. Karabanova was awarded the K. D. Ushinsky Medal and the badge “ Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education ” of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation in 2001.

O. A. Karabanova is a laureate of the Lomonosov Prize for pedagogical work (2001) ^[6] and an honored professor at Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov (2013) ^[7] .
