Biography
Born on January 28, 1918 in Rostov-on-Don.
After graduating from school, in 1936 at Rostov State University . At the same time he studied at a local flying club, which he graduated in 1937. Deciding to pursue a career as a pilot, he was assigned to the Voroshilovgrad school of military pilots according to the Komsomol ticket. From it was released a pilot instructor and distributed to the 2nd Chkalov navigational school of navigators.
Member of the Great Patriotic War, which was drafted on November 1, 1941. He served in long-range aviation, ended the war with the rank of captain . He took part in the Victory Parade of 1945.
After the war, he served in transport and civil aviation, flew the first jet passenger Tu-104 and Tu-114 . In absentia he graduated from the Kiev Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers . Having retired in 1978, he lived in Moscow.
He died on June 23, 1997 in Moscow. He was buried at Vvedensky cemetery . [one]
Family
Vladimir Ivanovich Boldyrev was the son-in-law of the Hero of the Soviet Union - M.V. Vodopyanov . His son, Mikhail Boldyrev , named in honor of his famous grandfather, also followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, becoming the commander of the Il-86 aircraft , which operates flights on international airlines [2] ; Honored Pilot of the Russian Federation [3] .
