Swordsmen [1] ( lat. Xiphophorus ) is a genus of ray-finned fish of the family Peciliidae (Poeciliidae) of the order Cyprinodontiformes.

Distributed in the fresh waters of Central America (Belize, Guatemala, Honduras) and Mexico. Color changes from black to lemon.
