Content
Career
At the age of 15, Korkmaz began playing for the Anadolu Ephesus youth team. In the 2013/2014 season, he played for the Pertevnial Farm Club in the second professional league in Turkey.
Since 2014, Korkmaz has been in favor of the core team of Anadolu Ephesus . In 2015, he helped the club win the Turkish Cup and Super Cup.
Korkmaz announced his candidacy for the 2016 NBA Draft , which took place on June 23, 2016. Furcan was selected in the first round under the 26th number by the Philadelphia Seventi Sixers club [1] . After choosing the NBA draft, Korkmaz stayed in “Anadolu Ephesus” for at least one season [2] .
In December 2016, Korkmaz moved to Banvit on loan until the end of the 2016/2017 season [3] . As part of the team, Furkan became the finalist of the FIBA Champions League and was recognized as the "Best Young Player" of the tournament [4] .
Turkey Team
Korkmaz played for the junior national team of Turkey, which won the 2014 European Championship and became the silver medalist of the 2015 European Championship. Also, as part of the national team under 19 years old, he became the bronze medalist of the 2015 World Cup .
In June 2015, Korkmaz was included in the list of 20 basketball players who claim to be in the Turkish national team for the European Championship 2015 [5] . In September, Furkan was included in the final application [6] .
