Muammer Guler ( tour: Muammer Güler ; born March 21, 1949 , Mardin ) is a Turkish politician.

Biography
He graduated from school in Ankara , then in 1972 the law faculty of Ankara University .
On January 29, 2002 he was appointed governor of silt Kayseri . September 16, 1993 was appointed governor of the silt Nowhere . From July 6, 1994 to July 28, 2000 he was the governor of silt Gaziantep . From February 17, 2003 to March 31, 2010 he was the governor of silt Istanbul . Since May 12, 2010, on March 7, 2011, he served as the head of the Department of Public Order and Security , a unit of the Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs, engaged in counterintelligence and the fight against terrorism. On January 24, 2013 he was appointed Minister of the Interior [1] .
On December 17, 2013, Muammer Guler’s son, Barysh Guler, was arrested on corruption charges [2] . On December 25 of the same year, Muammer Guler resigned along with ministers Zafer Chaglayan and Erdogan Bayraktar , whose sons were also charged with corruption [3] [4] .
Personal life
- Married in 1977. Wife is a teacher of mathematics. Two children, a boy and a girl.
