Geography

The village is located on old peat mines in the Ostrovnoye swamp near the Ostrovnaya River, 27 kilometers northeast from the administrative center of the okrug - the city of Berezovsky. [3] The previously existing narrow-gauge railway from Monetny (30 km) was completely demolished at the end 90s of the last century

Structure

According to the 2002 census, the national composition is as follows: Russians - 84%, Tatars - 8% [6] . According to the 2010 census, the village had: 116 men and 113 women [7] .

Infrastructure

The village is divided into seven streets (Gogol, Krylosov, Oktyabrskaya, Pervomaiskaya, Rybakov, Builders, School) [8] , there is a school (School No. 18 [9] ) and a kindergarten (Kindergarten No. 20 [10] ).
