The 105th Fighter Aviation Division of the Air Defense Forces ( 105th IAD Air Defense ) is an air defense unit of the Armed Forces of the USSR, subsequently an air force unit of the USSR Armed Forces, formed in 1950.

Title History
In the history of the Air Force of the USSR, and by succession in Russia, the 105th Air Division was formed, and subsequently reorganized several times [1] :
- 105th Air Defense Fighter Division (07/15/1950);
- 105th Fighter Aviation Division (1951) (10/01/1951);
- 105th fighter-bomber aviation division (03/01/1960);
- 105th aviation division of fighter-bombers (01.10.1976);
- 105th Mixed Aviation Division (08/10/1993).
After reforming the Russian Air Force, the division was reorganized into an air base. At the same time, the 47th separate guards reconnaissance Borisov Pomeranian twice Red Banner Order of the Suvorov Aviation Regiment (earlier (May 1, 1998) regiment was transferred regalia of the disbanded 871th Fighter Aviation Pomeranian Red Banner Regiment . The air base thus formed was named [2] :
- 7000th Guards Aviation Borisov Pomeranian twice Red Banner Order of Suvorov base (2009);
- 105th Guards Mixed Aviation Borisov Pomeranian twice Red Banner Order of the Suvorov Division (12/01/2013);
- Military Unit (Field Mail) 57655 (until 10/10/1993).
Division Creation
The 105th Air Defense Fighter Division was formed on July 15, 1951 as part of the 16th Air Defense Fighter Corps of the Kiev Air Defense Region.
Reorganization of the Division
In October 1951, the 105th Fighter Air Defense Division was transferred to the 61st Guards Fighter Aviation Corps of the 24th Air Army of the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany and received the name 105th Fighter Aviation Division .
