Midiq ( Vietnamese. Mỹ Đức ) is a county of Vietnam (huyện), one of the seventeen rural counties that make up Hanoi (since 2008). Area - 230 square meters. km, population - 171.4 thousand people, the administrative center is the city of Dayngia ( Vietnamese Đại Nghĩa ) [1] .

Geography
Midiq County is located southwest of the center of Hanoi (the southernmost county of Greater Hanoi). In the north, it borders with Thuongmi county, in the east - with Yongkhoa county , in the southeast - with the province of Hanam , in the south-west and west - with the province of Hoabin .
The eastern border of Midyk County is the Dai River ( Vietnamese. Sông Đáy ) .

At present, Midiq district includes one city (thị trấn) - Daingia ( Vietnamese Đại Nghĩa ) and 21 rural communes (xã) - Anmi ( Vietnamese An Mỹ ) , Anfu ( Vietnamese An Phú ) , Antien ( Vietnamese. An Tiến ) , Botsyuen ( Vietnamese. Bột Xuyên ) , Daihyng ( Vietnamese. Ưi Hưng ) , Doktin ( Vietnamese. Đốc Tín ) , Doktam ( Vietnamese. Đồng Tâm ) , Hongshon ( Vietnamese. Transport
Along the western border of Midyk county runs the national highway No. 21, along the eastern - highway No. 21b. Small shipping is available on the Dai River (several road bridges are thrown across the river). A cable car was made to one of the sections of the Tuahyong temple complex, popular with tourists and pilgrims (most travelers get to the sanctuary by boat on the picturesque canal) [2] [3] [4] .
Tourism
In Midyk county (Hyongshon municipality) there is a complex of Buddhist temples and shrines of Tuahyong , commonly known as the “Fragrant Pagoda”. Founded in the 15th century in rocks and caves on the banks of the Dai River, the complex annually attracts many pilgrims and tourists. There are dozens of hotels, hostels , cafes and restaurants around the complex [5] [6] [7] [8] .
Another important tourist area is located in the south of Lake Kuangshon.

Culture
In the municipality of Hyongshon, one of the country's longest religious holidays, the Fragrant Pagoda Festival, is held on a vast territory. It is dedicated to Buddha Shakyamuni , the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara and the “holy mothers”. In Botsuyen, a festival of the village of Laitao is held, dedicated to the patron deities of the area (three brothers of the Khao family and the Chung sisters ) and accompanied by a large feast (raw pork and glutinous rice are considered the main dishes) [9] .
