Creativity

The color scheme of the portraits of Magalashvili is restrained, a subtle elaboration of the psychological side of the characters of the paintings is felt [1] . The artist herself in an interview said that the hero of the portrait must first talk, fight with him or find some other way to catch facial expressions, hand movements, eye movements, to understand the main idea [2] .

In addition to acquaintances and artists, she painted portraits of Stakhanov workers [3] .

Portraits of Ketevan Magalashvili are in collections of various museums, including the Georgian State Museum of Art in Tbilisi (portraits of Y. Nikoladze (1922), E. Akhvlediani (1924), S. Zakariadze (1951) and the Museum of Oriental Art in Moscow (portrait of M. Dzhaparidze (1957)) [1] .
