Lyubertsy I is the last station before the division of the ways of Kazan to the east (to Cherusty, Murom, Arzamas) and Ryazansky to the southeast (to Golutvin, Ryazan) directions. From Moscow-Pass. Kazan to Lyubertsy I directions are combined into one railway line. It is noteworthy that the Lyubertsy-Cherusti section is already purely double-track (with a three-digit traffic light auto-lock throughout), unlike the Ryazan route, on which there are third and fourth routes going from the Kazan station to the Ramenskoye station.
There are four passenger platforms at the station. The platforms are connected by a covered bridge.
Before the reconstruction of 2005, access to the first and second railway platforms was through an underpass, to the third platform - from the northern Lyubertsy. After the construction of the fourth platform, designed for high-speed electric trains of the Sputnik type, the general reconstruction of the railway infrastructure on the Moscow - Ramenskoye section and the construction of a covered pedestrian bridge, the platforms began to be accessed via the bridge, and underground passages were closed. At the Lyubertsy I station, high-speed " Sputnik " -type electric trains connect Ramenskoye to Moscow . In addition, at the Lyubertsy I station, the Moscow-Kurovskaya conceptual express train stops both in the direction from Moscow and towards the Kazan station, as well as the Moscow-Golutvin conceptual express train in the direction from Moscow, towards the Kazan station there is no stop.
Travel time to Moscow on a simple train - 33-35 minutes, on the "Sputnik" - 20-22 minutes.
Lyubertsy I station is one of the busiest on the Moscow Railway. This is especially acute in the morning and evening rush hours . There are two turnstile lines at the station: the first at the exit to Oktyabrsky Avenue or Initiative Street. The second is on the platform for the "Satellites". The passage through the railway is carried out through an underground passage that does not have access to the platform. From Lyubertsy-1 station, at the exit “from Moscow to the right,” follow buses to Dzerzhinsky (buses No. 20, 21 (follow as public transport, the total traffic interval is 5 minutes), as well as the Sprinter Mostransavto minibus, following daily with the maximum 8 minutes interval), as well as to Lytkarino - Mostransavto buses, followed as public transport, the bus interval is 15-20 minutes. Minibuses of other organizations also follow to Lytkarino, but there is no information about their following.

Until 1997, there was passenger traffic on the branch from the former Panki station (along the now dismantled connecting branch) to the station. Dzerzhinskaya .
