Swedes Party

The Swedish Party ( Swede. Svenskarnas parti , SvP) is the Swedish National Socialist [1] [2] [3] [4] political party that existed until 2015 [5] [6] [7] [8] . The party was first registered on November 22, 2008 under the name of the Popular Front ( Swede. Folkfronten ), after the dissolution of the National Socialist Front [9] . The party officially ceased to exist on May 10, 2015: the reason, according to the board, was poor election results and a small number [7] [10] .

Ideology

The party described itself as nationalistic, advocating high-standard healthcare for financial support for Swedish workers and Swedish companies instead of foreign ones [11] , as well as for granting Swedish citizenship only to those who are related to the “Western genetic and cultural heritage " [12] . She opposed Muslim migration to Sweden and LGBT propaganda. In 2015, she took part in the International Russian Conservative Forum , speaking in support of Russia against the backdrop of the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

History

The party was founded under the name "Popular Front" ( Swede. Folkfronten ) in November 2008 after the collapse of the National Socialist Front [13] . The name of the party was changed in 2009 in order to preserve the right to participate in the elections and to avoid losing votes in the elections in 2010: when submitting documents for participation in the elections, it turned out that the name “People’s Front” was already carried by one of the socialist parties [14] . The symbol of the party was the Aegishjálmur rune in the shape of a snowflake.

In the 2010 election, the party won only 102 votes in the elections to the Municipal Council of Grestorp, having received only one mandate. According to Expo magazine, for the first time in the history of Sweden since the end of World War II, National Socialists managed to get a seat in one of the regional parliaments [15] [16] . However, the only member of the party who came to parliament, its head Daniel Höglund, was not registered at his place of residence in Sweden, as a result of which he was deprived of his mandate [17] .

In the Nykvarn municipality, the party received another seat when an independent deputy had previously joined it. Later, the former representatives of the Swedish Democrats began to join the party in the municipality [18] [19] [20] , but in 2014 the party lost its only place in Grestorpe.
