Career
Paul is the son of a Jersey dentist, Harold Walden. [2] After training at the dentist in 1981, he becomes an entertainer and keyboard player at the Sands Jersey nightclub, speaking by the names of Sindron and the Beast and his Frenzied Organ. In 1983 he left for San Francisco to write music, worked as a driver and artist and wrote only 2 mixes, later returned to the UK . [3] In 1988, he first tried ecstasy in a London pub, where he performed together with the rock band "Joshua Cries Wolf", after which he moved from rock music to house . [four]
In 1989, Guru Josh released " Infinity ", also known as "Infinity (1990's ... Time for the Guru)," from his debut album Infinity . The track was originally recorded for the friend Paul’s warehouse party of the same name, which attracted the attention of DJ Mike Pickering , who began to play it at the Haçienda club. [4] The track became popular in Germany , Great Britain , Portugal and Austria . The song has been re-released in various versions many times to this day, the most popular remix of DJ Klaas of 2008. Later in 1990, Paul released several more tracks, such as Freaky Dreamer, Holographic Dreams, and Whose Law (Is It Anyway?), Which reached 26 and 12 places in the UK and Germany charts, respectively. [6] In 1991, the track "Hallelujah" was released. Shortly thereafter, Paul began producing media products under the name Dr. Devious and VR released a series of video clips “Dance in Cyberspace”, also made video clips for MTV . [3]
In the wake of the success of Infinity , Paul moves to Ibiza and concentrates on the visual arts and the management of the promotion company. [four]
In 2007, Guru Josh Project was formed together with Andres Nyumen and Darren Bailli and a contract was signed with Big City Beats. In 2008, the group re-released the track “Infinity” called “Infinity 2008”, a Klaas remix of the track became the number one hit in Belgium , the Netherlands , France and Denmark , as well as in the Czech airplay chart and Eurochart Hot 100. [5] In 2010 Releases New Single Frozen Teardrops. In March 2011, the next single “Love of Life” was released with a more modern and energetic house sound, remixes of Sgt Slick , Digital Freq and The Fusion & DJ Dima June were released on the track.
In 2012, a new remix for the track “Infinity” performed by DJ Antoine , which hit the top 20 tracks in the charts of Austria, Germany and Switzerland , was also released, and was also used in advertising ice cream in these countries.
Later he was engaged in the creation of 3D glass sculptures, which he sold at small exhibitions in New York , Madrid , Paris and Berlin . [7]
On December 28, 2015, at the age of 51, he committed suicide at home due to the depression that began after the girl abandoned him. [7] [8]
