Kovrov-I - the railway station of the Gorky Railway , the main station of the city of Kovrov, Vladimir Region. It was opened in 1862 along with the opening of the main passage of the Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod Railway [1] .

The station station with a capacity of 900 people was built in 2003 on the site of the demolished historic station built in 1864. It also has a bus station.
Near the station is the final stop of buses, trolleybuses and minibuses.
Freight
Carpet I is the main cargo terminal of the city, in addition to transit flights, local traffic is carried out. Access lines to many enterprises of the city of Kovrov depart from the station. Two other stations (Kovrov-2 and Kovrov-Gruzovoy) are located far from the city and the freight traffic at them is vanishingly small.
Passenger movement
Station 3 has low passenger platforms. To the 1st platform trains of the Moscow and Ivanovo directions arrive. To the 2nd platform of the train of the Nizhny Novgorod direction. To the 3rd platform, trains of Murom direction arrive and depart (to / from Volosataya, Murom-I stations). The arrival of commuter trains leaves the apron control.
The extreme points of direct suburban communication: Nizhny Novgorod-Moscow , Moscow-Kurskaya (only by trains " Swallow ", otherwise Vladimir ), Ivanovo , Murom I.
