Amaryllidoideae (lat.) - a subfamily of monocotyledonous flowering plants of the Amaryllidaceae family of the order Asparagales ( Liliaceae by the old classification). Along with Amaryllidoideae , the family includes Onion ( Allioideae ) and Agapanthoideae . The subfamily includes about 70 genera with more than 800 species distributed throughout the world.

Amaryllidoideae are herbaceous perennial flowering plants, usually having a bulb (some are rhizomes ). Fleshy leaves of plants are built in two columns. The flowers are large [2] . Many of the subfamily plants are bulbous geophytes . Actively used in agriculture, as well as as ornamental plants [3] .
