Story
In a small Italian port town comes Erminio, a student from Milan. The old friend Carlo, the owner of the zucchini, tells him that the local governor is going to marry his useless son to a rich widow, beautiful Charlotte. But Erminio himself is in love with Charlotte. To frustrate the wedding, crafty Carlo uses the rumors about the sinister sea robber Gasparone - rumors that Carlo himself dismisses. With the help of Carlo Herminio, he organizes the alleged assault of the robbers, circles the governor around his finger and wins Charlotte's heart.
