Granma ( Spanish: Granma ) is a Cuban daily newspaper , the official press organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba .

It was created in October 1965 by the merger of the newspapers Segodnya (from Spanish - “Know”) and “Revolucion” ( Spanish ) Revolución and was named after the Granma yacht , on which Fidel Castro and his fighters landed in Cuba in December 1956 [1] .
There is also an international publication of the newspaper - a weekly in English, French, German, Italian and Portuguese.
