Peter Fedorovich Stavitsky 1st (1769-1815) - major general of artillery, St. George Knight.
He came from a noble family; father is a retired captain. In addition to Peter, the family had three more sons: Maxim , Vasily, George.
He graduated in 1788 from the Artillery and Engineering Gentry Cadet Corps and, during the formation of equestrian artillery, was assigned to the third cavalry company of Captain Sergei Tuchkov .
In 1800, with a letter of July 17, he was granted the honorary Commander of the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem [1] .
In 1805, with the rank of colonel, he commanded the 1st cavalry artillery battalion [2] .
Then he was the commander of the 3rd artillery brigade; March 16, 1808 promoted to major general with the appointment of brigade commander of the Chernigov and Koporsky musketeer regiments and the 3rd artillery brigade. However, on November 5, 1808 it was removed from the brigade commanders. He was the chief commander of reserve recruits. In the years 1813-1814. - The general on duty at the Reserve Army.
He was awarded on November 26, 1811, the Order of St. George , 4th class.
He was married to Amalia-Charlotte von Russ (1784-1849). They had a son, Fyodor (? —1888) and three daughters, one of whom, Olga (10.24.1805–9.02.1902) was married to Maxim Karlovich Zeimern . Four years after the death of her husband, in 1819, Amalia Frantsevna Stavitskaya headed the Maiden School at the Orphan's Home (since 1829 - the Pavlovsk Institute ) [3]
