Vladimir Ignatievich Sukhoi ( Ukrainian: Volodimir Gnatovich Sukhiy ; May 2, 1939 , the village of Dneprodzerzhinsk - 2010 , Yellow Waters , Dnipropetrovsk Region , Ukraine ) - miner, foreman of the drilling crew of the Eastern Mining and Processing Plant of the USSR Ministry of Medium Engineering, Dnipropetrovsk Region. Biography

Born May 2, 1939 in a working family in the city of Dneprodzerzhinsk. In 1949 he graduated from elementary school in the village of Tarasavo-Shevchenkovo, Krasnokamensky district, Kirovograd region, and in 1952, an incomplete secondary school in the village of Lenino-I, Krasnokamensky district. In 1955 he received secondary education in the village of Krasnokamenka, after which he entered the vocational school No 8 in Dneprodzerzhinsk, which he graduated in 1957. From 1957 to 1960 he served in the Soviet Army as part of the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany.

After the army, he settled in the city of Yellow Waters , where he got a driller at the Novaya mine of the Eastern Mining and Processing Plant. In 1966 he was appointed driller foreman. The team of Vladimir Sukhoi used an innovative method of drilling, during which two drillers serviced four machines, which led to a significant increase in labor productivity. Since 1981, the team annually exceeded the production plan.

In 1963 he joined the Communist Party. He was elected a delegate to the XXVII Congress of the CPSU and XXVI Congress of the Communist Party.

Since October 1986, he worked as a master of industrial training at the plant.

After retiring, he lived in the city of Yellow Waters, where he died in 2010.
