Abuzar Abdulkhakimovich Aidamirov ( October 29, 1929 [1] (according to old sources - 1933 ) - May 27, 2005 ) - Soviet and Chechen writer and poet , lifetime classic of Chechen literature . People's writer of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (1977), Chairman of the Union of Writers of Chechnya (2004-2005) [2] [3] .

Biography
During the years of deportation he worked as an accountant in a field crew, a school librarian, and deputy chief accountant of a state farm. After the restoration of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, he returned to his homeland [4] .
In 1957-1987 he worked as a teacher of the Chechen language and literature in his native village.
In 1963 he graduated from the historical and philological faculty of the Chechen-Ingush State Pedagogical Institute . In 1964 he was admitted to the USSR Writers Union. In 1967-1969 he studied at the Higher Literary Courses at the Union of Writers of the USSR . In 1969-1989 he was a member of the board of the Writers Union of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . For many years of teaching, he was awarded high government awards [4] .
For 30 years he was a deputy in the Nozhai-Yurt District Council. In 1989-1993, before coming to power in Chechnya, Dzhokhar Dudaev was a deputy of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR . In 2004, at the first congress of the Union of Writers of the Chechen Republic after its reconstruction, he was elected chairman of this writing organization [4] .
Creativity
The first story of Abuzar Aydamirova was published in 1957.
Aydamirova is the author of the historical trilogy about the Caucasian wars of the 19th century : " Long Nights ", "Lightning in the Mountains" and "Storm". Novels are translated into Arabic , Turkish , French and other European languages.
The most significant work of Aydamirov is considered the first novel of the trilogy - “Long Nights”. The work lay ten years in the writer's desk because he refused to make changes in accordance with the instructions of the CPSU regional committee . The novel was published in 1972 and was for a long time under an unwritten ban. It was translated into Russian only in 1996, and in 1998 came out in Arabic.
A song written by Aydamirov in the 1970s was subsequently used as the anthem of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria . Aydamirov himself was quite critical about the regime of Ichkeria [5] .
Memory
- In 2006, the A. Idamirov Literary and Memorial Museum was opened [6] .
- In 2008, B. Khmelnitsky Street in Grozny was renamed A. A. Aydamirova Street [7] .
- The streets of Aydamirova are in the villages of Tolstoy-Yurt [8] , Ishkhoy-Yurt [9] , Dzhalka [10] and several others.
- On October 30, 2013, on the occasion of the 80th birthday of A. A. Aydamirov, his name was given to the National Library of the Chechen Republic [11] .
- In November 2018, a bust of Abuzar Aydamirova was installed on the Writers Alley of the cultural and historical complex “Cyrillic Courtyard” [12] .
