The Expert Club “Strategy of Moldova” ( Moldovan Clubului de exper Stratei “Strategia Moldovei” ) is an association of the expert community of the Republic of Moldova that analyzes the socio-economic development of the republic and develops a strategic vision for the country's development for short and long term periods.

History
The club was founded [1] on October 26, 2013 , on the 340th anniversary of the birth of the Moldavian ruler and world-famous scientist Dmitry Cantemir . The Club includes experts in the field of economics, education, law, international relations, youth leaders, representatives of the clergy, historians, political scientists, heads of analytical centers and representatives of the mass media of the Republic of Moldova. The initiator of the creation of the Club and its chairman is an expert in the field of state development, Master of Public Administration Vyacheslav V. Perzhu [2] .
On December 7, 2013 , the [3] Gagauz branch of the club was opened. At the inaugural meeting, the idea was voiced of creating a working group on the basis of the Comrat State University (KSU) to form the “Interuniversity Innovation Union”, as well as the organization of a permanent historical forum “Heritage”.
In the analysis prepared by the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISI) [4] , the expert club "Strategy of Moldova" is named "one of the leading" thought factories "of Moldova."
Activities and projects
The basic activities of the Expert Club "Strategy of Moldova" [5] :
- strengthening statehood, cultural and spiritual-moral foundations of Moldova;
- a significant increase in the standard of living of the population;
- ensuring civil peace and tranquility in the country;
- strengthening the international position of the republic;
- strengthening interstate and interpersonal relations with the states - historical friends of Moldova.
On December 13, 2013 , the Club opened [6] in Moldova the Center for Supporting Youth Initiatives (CPMI). More than thirty leaders of youth organizations of Chisinau , Balti , Comrat and Tiraspol took part in the inaugural meeting. The main objective of the project is information and methodological assistance to youth leaders in the preparation and promotion of educational, cultural, sports and other projects.
On March 21, 2014 , in order to conduct celebrations dedicated to the 655th anniversary of Moldavian statehood, the Club [7] initiated the creation of the People's Committee "Moldova 655". The Committee’s efforts developed the Master Plan for the celebration of the 655th anniversary of Moldavian statehood [8] and implemented a series of events at the national and international levels [9] [10] [11] [12] .
The club is [13] [14] a member of the Organizing Committee of the National Forum of Youth “Moldova of the New Generation”.
An expert club initiates the IBC / MD International Business Congress in Moldova [15] .
Within the framework of the Club meetings, issues of strengthening the sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova and the development of activities of public organizations and patriotic movements in Moldova [16] [17] are discussed.
The Club’s scientific asset initiated work on a project to create the iGrad International Scientific and Educational Cluster in the republic [18] . The project provides for the construction of an industrial park , including an industrial and residential complex, training centers, industrial IT complexes, data centers, etc. According to experts' plans, the full implementation of the project will take about 15 years with a total budget of 800 million euros . It is indicated [19] that the technopark is supposed to be built in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia (Gagauz Yeri). In the media, the project received the name "Moldavian" Silicon Valley " [20] .
Criticism and scandals
In June 2014 , the participation of a number of members of the “Strategy of Moldova” expert club in a meeting of public figures in the Moldavian city of Balti was presented by several media in Moldova and Romania as “a meeting to prepare protests in the country” [21] . The meeting denied the allegations, stating:
All charges are based on several photographs of people smiling and talking peacefully in the park. Therefore, there is a high probability of winning in court .
