Content
Story
Tankist- foreman Katsuba, received a serious wound, enters the hospital .
But the war is coming to an end, and after Katsuba recovers, he receives an unexpected appointment: he is sent to the rear, to the flight school, where he becomes the foreman of the squadron. Relations with cadets develop not immediately, but then the foreman becomes a real “Batey” for war- scorched guys.
There is a Victory Day , which for all has become a holiday with tears in his eyes. The foreman and his cadets also won, but the bitterness of loss gives rise to tears and pain for those who did not live to see the great Victory.

The film, according to Vladimir Gostyukhin, remains one of the most beloved for the actor:
“Probably, by the human character this hero is closest to me and most of all he expresses my human essence. This type of people, like foreman Katsuba, goes through many of my roles. ” [1]
