The 11th assault engineering and combat engineer Zaporizhzhya-Budapest Red Banner Order of Kutuzov and Bogdan Khmelnytsky brigade (11th cc) is an assault engineering and combat brigade as part of the Armed Forces of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War .

History
Armed with assault groups, brigades usually consisted of:
- PPSh-41 and PPS-43 submachine guns
- fragmentation and anti-tank grenades ( RPG-43 , F-1 , RGD-33 )
- knapsack flamethrowers ROKS-3 for flamethrowing according to enemy manpower, arson and smoke of buildings
- explosives and mines to destroy enemy obstacles and firing points
- anti-tank rifles PTRD and PTRS to deal with German firing points and snipers
- fuel mixture bottles ( CS ) for storming buildings
- heavy and heavy machine guns to cover the attacking group.
- Also, all captured Faustpatrons were primarily sent to assault brigades.
Sniper rifles generously stood out for the battalions.
Engineer special forces even had their own special emblem in the form of crossed hatchets of yellow or white metal, as well as a black edging on buttonholes and shoulder straps (officer "gaps" and sergeant "bows" were red) assigned to engineer-sapper units.

Composition Awards
- Aliev, Ali aga Huseyn-aga oglu (junior sergeant), commander of the 53rd separate assault engineering and combat engineer Zaporizhzhya battalion. Particularly distinguished himself in early April 1945, the unit under the command of Junior Sergeant Aliyev was tasked with a strong shelling of the enemy to build a bridge over the front line of defense. Assessing the situation, Aliyev moved forward with his comrades, and set to work. The enemy noticed working sappers and opened hurricane fire. Two sappers from Aliyev’s team were killed, Aliyev himself received his third battle wound. Despite the injury, Aliyev continued to lead the work of sappers. The command task was completed on time. For courage and courage shown during the execution of this task, by Order No: 5 / n in parts of the 11th Assault Engineering Sapper Brigade dated April 30, 1945 [1] Junior Sergeant Ali Aga Aliyev was awarded the Order of the Red Star [2] .
