Shovari, Kalman (wrestler)

Kalman Shovari ( Hungarian Sóvári Kálmán ; September 12, 1910 - December 18, 1996), also known as Kalman Schaeffer ( him. Kalman Schäffer ) - Hungarian freestyle wrestler.

Biography

Born in 1910 in Szombathely . In 1935, he won the bronze medal at the European Championship. In 1936 he took part in the Olympic Games in Berlin , but unsuccessfully.

In 1946 he became the silver medalist of the European Championship. In 1948 he took part in the Olympic Games in London , where he took the 5th place.

The son, also named Kalman Šovari , became a famous footballer, played for the Hungarian national team .
