Biography
He was born on January 5 ( January 18 ), 1908 in Alexandria (now Kirovograd Region , Ukraine ) in the family of Abram Froimovich Granovsky (1875-1958) and Estheri (Fira) Abramovna Granovsky (1881-1953) [1] . He graduated from the production of technical college with the LMZ named after V. Stalin (1935).
In 1924–1930, he was a fitter at a district station in Dnepropetrovsk , a draftsman at a metallurgical plant in Stalino , a designer at the Leningrad plant Gipromed, a designer at the Marxist plant.
In 1930-1983 he worked at LMZ: brigadier, senior engineer (1935), head of the design department of the water turbine, from 1945 - deputy. Ch. designer, from 1978 - deputy. Head of the hard currency “Gidroturbash”.
Since 1983, retired.
Developed hydro turbines for the Volga, Bratsk, Krasnoyarsk, Ust-Ilim, Zeya, Toktogul, Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric power stations, Bhakra-Nangal ( India ), Aswan ( OAR ), Djerdap — Iron Gate ( Yugoslavia and Romania ), Tabka ( Syria ), Kapivara ( Brazil ) and others.
Candidate of Technical Sciences (1955). The author of five inventions.
He died on May 10, 1999 in St. Petersburg .
