Biography
Born in the village of Egvekinot (Magadan Region, Russia) in the family of a mining engineer. He spent his childhood in the city of Dneprorudny (Zaporizhzhya region, Ukraine).
Since 1991, he has been educated at Kiev State Economic University with a degree in Accounting and Analysis of Foreign Economic Activity. In 1996 he graduated with a master's degree in economics.
In 2003 he defended his thesis “International Investments and Effective Economic Development” at Kiev State University of Economics.
In parallel with training, Konstantin Zhevago from 1993 to 1996. began his career as financial director of Finance and Credit CJSC.
In 1996-1998 - Chairman of the Board, ZAO Finance and Credit; Deputy Head of the Board of OJSC Poltava Mining and Processing Plant; Member of the Supervisory Board of Ukrnafta OJSC.
It was noted that he owed his position to Alexander Volkov [3] : “In fact, Volkov entrusted to the capable manager the management of all the assets of his brainchild - the Kiev financial and financial group Finance and Credit” [4] .

He controls the developed and successful enterprises in the mining and metallurgical industries, shipbuilding and engineering, in the production of heavy vehicles, pharmacology and the food industry in Ukraine, as well as in Western Europe and Central Asia. Owns the football team of the Premier League of Ukraine Vorskla .
On November 1, 2018, Russian sanctions were imposed against 322 citizens of Ukraine, including Konstantin Zhevago [5] .
Political Activities
In Ukraine, Konstantin Zhevago also leads an active political activity. From March 1998 to April 2002 - People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the III convocation from 149 constituency ( Poltava region ). Since June 1998 - Member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Policy, Management of the National Economy, Property and Investments.
From April 2002 to April 2006 - Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine IV convocation from constituency No. 150 (Poltava region). From June 2002 - Member of the Committee on Legal Policy, member of the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to PACE .
From May 2006 to April 2007 - People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the V convocation from the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc .
Since December 23, 2007 - Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the VI convocation on the BYuT list. Head of the parliamentary group on inter-parliamentary relations with Japan.
At the 2012 elections to the Ukrainian parliament, he ran as a self-nominated candidate in the single-mandate majority district in the Poltava region [6] , was elected.

The Finance and Credit Group is one of the largest Ukrainian financial-industrial groups. It includes enterprises in the field of metallurgy, iron and ferromanganese ore deposits, engineering, transport, pharmaceuticals, shipbuilding, and energy.
Bank “Finance and Credit” was founded in 1990 and, by assets, is included in the group of largest banks according to the NBU classification. The authorized capital of the Bank as of April 1, 2009 is 2 billion UAH. The net assets of the Bank as of April 1, 2009 amounted to UAH 18.316 billion, the Bank's liabilities - UAH 15.840 billion. The loan portfolio of the Bank as of April 1, 2009 reached UAH 15.880 billion, the loan portfolio of individuals - clients of the Finance and Credit Bank as of April 1, 2009 amounted to UAH 5.983 billion.
As of April 1, 2009, the system of the Finance and Credit Bank includes 16 branches and 326 unbalanced branches in all regions of Ukraine.
The main shareholders of Finance and Credit Bank as of April 1, 2009 are F&C Realty CJSC (46.67%), Askania LLC (48.88%) and Naftogaz Ukrainy NAC (0.63%) .
According to AUB, as of April 1, 2009, the bank took 13th place in terms of assets and liabilities among 162 operating in the country.
Zhevago is also associated with the Luxembourg company Calexco SARL [7] .

Gulf Conflict
After the annexation of Crimea to Russia, the Zerg Kerch plant owned by Zhevago became the subject of conflict. According to the Minister of Industrial Policy of the Republic of Crimea Andrei Skrynnik, in early August 2014 a decision was made to re-register the plant in accordance with Russian law. An initiative group of plant workers accused the plant owner of illegal acquisition of shares, withdrawal of funds and job cuts. On August 25, 2014, representatives of the so-called “self-defense of Crimea” blocked the access of enterprise management to workplaces. Skrynnik accused the owners of poor management of the enterprise [8] [9] [10] [11] .
