The Apostolic Nunciature in Saint Kitts and Nevis was established on a permanent basis on July 19, 1999, by Pope John Paul II , separating it from the apostolic delegate to the Antilles. However, the apostolic nuncio does not have an official residence in St. Kitts and Nevis, in its capital Baster and is an apostolic nuncio part-time, visiting the country occasionally. The residence of the Apostolic Nuncio in Saint Kitts and Nevis is Port of Spain , the capital of Trinidad and Tobago .
