Biography

Born May 12, 1926 in a peasant family in the village of Aleksandrovka. Since April 1944 he participated in the Great Patriotic War. Received a battle wound. He served in a group of Soviet troops in Germany until 1952.

After demobilization, he worked as the head of the club of the village of Klyuvintsy, Gusyatinsky district, Ternopil region. After graduating from the Ternopil Regional Agricultural School for the training of collective farm chairmen in March 1956, he was sent, among the “thirty thousandths”, as the chairman of the Mayak collective farm to the village of Kotovka, Gusyatinsky District. He headed this enterprise (from the 90s of the XX century - agricultural company Mayak) for 54 years until 2010.

In the spring of 1956 he accepted a backward farm with debts to the state with an available livestock of 37 cows and 86 pigs. Thanks to skillful leadership, he brought the collective farm to the forefront of agriculture in the Ternopil region. The collective farm was awarded the title "Collective Farm of High Culture of Agriculture." A new livestock complex for growing heifers for 7000 animals was built and operated in it. The livestock population density on the farm was 120 animals per 100 hectares of agricultural land. The company was constantly in the lead in crop yields in the region and region. 17 hectares of coniferous forest were planted and grown, a pond with a total area of ​​118 hectares and an underground water supply system for irrigation of fields on an area of ​​1000 hectares were built.

With his participation, social facilities were built on the territory of the collective farm, uniting nine settlements. At the expense of the collective farm, 26 kilometers of the main gas pipeline branch to the village of Kotovka were laid, which made it possible to gasify not only the village itself, but also a third of the district. Over the years of his leadership, three cultural houses, three schools, two administrative buildings, a residential building for 36 apartments, feldsher-midwife stations, three kindergartens, one church were built, roads with hard roads were laid, and asphalt paved to the village of Kotovka.

In 1977 he was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor for outstanding labor achievements.

He wrote the book “Field of my life” (Field of my life), which was published in two editions in 2013 and 2016.
