As Karina said, for the first six months she was broadcasting using an iPad (instead of a webcam) and a weak “dual-core” laptop ^[10] , according to her, it was originally a “non-commercial project” ^[14] called “Skuraming” as a parody of other girls-game streamers, the name “Strimersha Karina” was invented by other media ^[15] . Having saved money, she acquired a more powerful computer and improved the quality of broadcasts, which, in her opinion, influenced the growth of popularity ^{[10] [4]} . She also believes that her audience has grown thanks to the movie "Lamp Thain" ^[16] , which fell into the large community "VKontakte" ^[10] . One of her video “Difficult, Difficult” ^[17] appeared at that time in the MDK community with seven million subscribers ^[1] .

Karina played Dota 2 games ^[4] , as well as Counter-Strike , H1Z1 , Minecraft , League of Legends , Hearthstone, and others. ^{[13] [11] [1]} She reacts to the messages of the audience: sends greetings and kisses, shows fingers "hearts", writes in "VKontakte", swears in response to insults, but it has not previously blocked users ^{[9] [13]} . Sometimes during broadcasts, instead of playing, she cooks and eats food ^[9] . Rossiyskaya Gazeta wrote that users were “delighted” with the obscene language of the blogger ^[18] .

Karina's YouTube channel has 1.2 million subscribers, the VKontakte page is 329 thousand, the channel on Twitch is 600 thousand, and Instagram is 797 thousand as of March 2019. The number of viewers online on its Twitch channel reached 20,000, which Kanobu considers to be an “unprecedented” level ^[13] . In early May 2016, her channel Twitch was blocked for certain violations, Karina released a video about this where she cries ^[22] . As of May 2016, according to one of the streamers, although Karina’s popularity has declined, it has remained steadily high: it was watched by about 5-6 thousand viewers, and the channel had about 300 paid subscribers ^[22] . Karina said that she refers to streaming as a hobby, but for her it “gradually turns into work” ^{[11] [10]} .

Commenting on the initiative of the State Duma deputy to tax streamers and video bloggers, the Kanobu publication suggested that he learned about Karina's income ^[23] . Kazakhstani political scientist Anton Morozov cited Karina as an example of a hero in the youth internet world, who is currently poorly understood: “There is a language policy and a slang. Its economy, and with real money. There are heroes and anti-heroes there ” ^[37] .
