History
The beginning of the construction of the pyramid was timed to coincide with the 1200th anniversary in Wemding in 1993, and will be completed 1190 years later (see Error per unit ) after it.
Design
After construction, the pyramid will consist of 120 concrete blocks measuring 1.2 meters in length, 1.2 meters in width and 1.8 meters in height. The blocks are separated by 0.5 block intervals (0.6 meters). The first layer of the pyramid includes 64 blocks in an 8x8 grid, the second layer - 36 blocks, a 6x6 grid, the third - 16, a 4x4 grid, the last layer - 4 blocks, a 2x2 grid.
The project is financed mainly from donations from local companies, which, for example, sponsor the creators with materials. The material of the blocks is not strictly designated and may be changed by future generations on the basis of available resources [2] .
Concept
The idea of creating the pyramid belongs to the German artist Manfred Laber, who died in 2018 at the age of 86. The concept of the pyramid is to demonstrate to humanity the importance of a long period of time for 1200 years and involves the construction of concrete blocks every 10 years. At the moment, three decades have already been poured into concrete. As conceived by the author, the pyramid should be completed in 3183, 1190 years after the start of construction. It will consist of 120 blocks, the length and width of each block is 120 centimeters [2] [3] .
