Filming
The role of the leading singer was planned by Rostotsky's wife Nina Menshikova , but Sergei Gerasimov insisted on the participation in the picture of his student at VGIK Larisa Luzhina . The game Luzhina did not really like the director Rostotsky at first. When he showed the shot with her participation to Sergei Gerasimov , he replied: “Stasik, excuse me, please, it's only your fault that she doesn’t succeed, not her. You're a director, it's still soft clay. You, as a sculptor, must sculpt a sculpture from it, create, help create this image. This is your concern. ” [1]
According to the scenario, in one of the shots, the main character should undress in order to wash herself in a barrel of water. The 22-year-old actress was shy, and instead the director offered to remove the understudy. Seeing a girl of a different complexion, Larisa Luzhina ventured to star in this scene herself [1] .
Part of the shooting was carried out in Rostov-on-Don : house decorations "on seven winds" were built in a vacant lot near Sedova Street , in one of the episodes in the frame you can find the street. Moscow and the building of the factory of white goods on the lane. Newspaper. On one of the plans of the film, the left bank of the Don is also clearly visible [2] .
Director Stanislav Rostotsky insisted that Klara Luchko play a small role as a surgeon in this film. Just once he accidentally met her in the corridor of the hospital, where Luchko came to visit her friend. She walked in a white coat. Luchko did not want to, refused the role, but Rostotsky persuaded her. For the sake of this small role, she went to hospitals, attended real operations, and mastered the techniques of surgeons [3] .
