Career
Lynn began his auto racing career at the age of 11 with karting. The first karting class in which he took part was Mini Max. Already in 2005, Alex performed in the classes ICA Junior and KF3 (then JICA), and in 2008 he made his debut in KF2 [3] [4] .
In 2009, while continuing to participate in karting, Lynn made his debut in the open-wheel series, taking part in the British Formula Renault Winter Cup as part of the Fortec Motorsport team. For 4 races he finished only 3 times, 2 of which were in 8th place, and 1 time - in 9th, scored 40 points and took 10th place according to the results of the competition. In 2010, Alex finally moved to the "open-wheel" series. He played in the British Formula Renault, where for 20 races he scored 210 points and took 10th place, and again in the Winter Cup series, where he won 3 of 6 races, scored 146 points and became the champion. In 2011, Lynn already participated in three series: in British Formula Renault 2.0, he managed to score 521 points, having climbed the podium in 15 of 20 races (in 1st place - 12 times), and to win the championship; in 12 of the 15 races of the Toyota Series (in the Giles Motorsport team) he earned 514 points, thanks to which he took 9th place; for 4 races of the Euro Cup Formula Renault 2.0 once managed to take the 2nd position and scored 26 points [3] .
In 2012, Lynn spent the full season in British Formula 3 as part of the Fortec Motorsport team. For 29 races, he visited the podium 9 times, earned 253 points and took fourth place at the end of the season. Also, for Fortec, the Briton participated in 6 Formula 3 Euroseries races, in the Formula 3 Masters and Macau Grand Prix races; performed in the European F3 Open Winter Series in the Team West-Tec team and in the F3 Cup in the Lanan Racing team. In 2013, Alex played in the Formula 3 European Championship as part of the Prema Powerteam team, in which he scored 339.5 points and became the third, and in the Toyota Racing Series in the M2 Competition team, where he took 2nd place with 803 points . In addition, he became the first in the Macau Grand Prix race and the second in the Formula 3 Masters race [3] .
In 2014, Lynn made his debut in the GP3 series as part of the Carlin team, with 207 points the Briton became the champion of the series. He also became a test pilot in the Formula 1 Lotus team. In 2015, Alex joined GP2 in the DAMS team, scored 110 points and took 6th place in the championship; This season, he held the position of test pilot already at Williams F1 . In 2016, Lynn continues to perform in GP2 [3] .
