Laneville, Eric

Eric Gerard Laneuville ( born Eric Gerard Laneuville ; born July 14, 1952) is an American actor and television director. His first acting roles were in the science fiction film " The Omega Man " with Charlton Heston in the title role and in the ABC television series "Room 222" (1970-1973). His role as Luther Hawkins in the television series St. Elswer is his most famous role. He also starred in The Power of the Solitary (1979) as Charlie, stepson of Chuck Norris . In later years, he often directed single-hour dramas like Ghost Talking and Lost . He shot the episode "Missing" of the series " Body Investigation ."

Acting

Laneville began acting while studying at Audubon High School in Crenshaw, Los Angeles. He often played under-age characters younger than his age. He appeared in several musicals in Odubon, led by drama teacher Mario Lomeli, including Bye Bye Birdie, Annie Get Your Gun, and Oklahoma! ". While attending theater classes at Susan Miller Dorsey High School, he began acting professionally, playing a difficult teenager in the award-winning series “Room 222”, as well as with Chuck Norris in the movie “The Power of the Solitary.” He also appeared in three episodes of Sunford and Son as the adopted son of Esther. In 1982, he received the role of Luther Hawkins in the television series St. Elswer . He remained in the series until its graduation in 1988.
