Research HistoryThe SOPPf holotype , which is a track of tracks, was found at the location of Passagem das Pedras in the layers of the Sousa formation dated to the Berriasian Hauterivian (about 145-130 Ma ago) [2] , Paraiba , Brazil [1] .
Description and classificationThe tracks are weak, which is probably due to the fact that the ground was dry when the dinosaur walked over it. Leonardi in his work referred Staurichnium to ornithopods like Hadrosauridae . This taxon is characterized by an elongated heel print. Since the traces were poorly preserved, and their ichnotaxony was determined on the basis of metatarsal imprints, Dias-Martinez and colleagues consider Staurichnium nomen dubium [1] .
