“Badai al-wakai” ( Persian بدايعالوقايع - “Amazing Events”) is the historical work of Zayn al-Din Vasifi (1485-1551 / 1556) in Farsi . Consists of 46 chapters. The history of Khorasan , Central Asia , political, economic, cultural life of Herat of the late XV - early XVI centuries . Information is given about the great scientists of the Middle Ages: Abu Ali ibn Sina , Abd ar Rahman Jami , Abu l-Kasim Firdousi , Alisher Navoi , Kamala ad-Din Binai . Describes the trip of the Iranian Shah Ismail Safavi to Herat, clashes between Sunnis and Shiites, the construction of the fortification of Jatan Tahir , to protect against Kalmyks ( 1520s ), clashes between Sheybanids and Kazakh - Kyrgyz troops [1] . For the first time, Kazakh lands were named Kazakhstan . This information is a valuable source on the history of Kazakhstan . The work with additions and supplements was published in Tehran in 1971-1972.
