Mark Tinker ( born January 16, 1951) is an American television producer and director. Tinker was the executive producer and regular director of the Deadwood HBO series . Prior to Deadwood, Tinker served as the director / producer of The New York Police , where one of the creators was the Deadwood screenwriter, David Milch . Tinker also directed episodes of the television series White Shadow, St. Elsver , Capital News, Civil Wars, Hope Chicago, Los Angeles Law , Anatomy of Passion , Private Practice , Scandal "And" Chicago Police . "

Personal life
Tinker was born in Stamford, Connecticut [1] , into the family of Ruth Prince (v. Beyrle) and NBC chairman Grant Tinker , and brother John Tinker , with whom he worked on St. Elswer . His stepmother was Mary Tyler Moore , who married Grant Tinker in 1962 and divorced him in 1981.
He graduated from the University of Syracuse in 1973 [2] . He was previously married (1988–2000) to actress and artist Christine Harmon, and then married actress Chandra West in October 2005 [3] .
Career
Tinker joined the HBO Drama Western team at Deadwood as executive producer and director for the third and final season of 2006. The series was created by David Milch and focused on a growing campus in the Wild West. Tinker directed episodes of Tell Your God to Ready for Blood [4] , Unauthorized Cinnamon [5] , A Constant Throb [6] and Tell Him Something Pretty [7] .
Tinker collaborated for the last time with David Milch in the short-lived HBO drama John from Cincinnati, which aired in June 2007. Tinker filmed a pilot episode and served as an executive producer.
