Scientific degree

  • 1955 - defended his thesis at Kiev State University .
  • 1961 - defended his doctoral dissertation at the N. N. Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics , Russian Academy of Sciences ,

Scientific ranks and membership in scientific societies

  • 1963 - awarded the title of professor;
  • 2002 - Awarded the title of “Pioneer of Nano-Science” at the University of Texas at Dallas ;
  • He is the chosen Fellow of the English Institute of Physics and the American Physical Society .

Work

  • From 1956 to 1969 - worked as head of the theoretical laboratory at the Physics and Energy Institute ( Obninsk ).
  • 1969 - was invited to work in the newly formed Institute of Spectroscopy as head of the theoretical department. He has held this post for 40 years and is currently the chief researcher at the institute.
  • He advanced and developed the concept of resonant hybrid Frenkel-Wannier-Mott excitons, which can be created in resonant organic-semiconductor nanostructures.
  • 2002 to 2012 - University of Texas at Dallas .
