Spasticity occurs due to the lack of inhibition of motor neurons , which causes increased muscle contractions . With spasticity, baclofen is often indicated, acting as an agonist of GABA-B receptors that inhibit motor neurons.

Spastic cerebral palsy is the most common form of cerebral palsy (cerebral palsy), which represents a group of chronic non-progressive symptom complexes of motor disorders.
