Part II ) - Japanese black-and-white film-melodrama of 1953 , directed by Hideo Ooba on the basis of radio plays . The second part of the popular film trilogy about love, Matiko and Haruki, separated by fate. The film is made in the style of "Sure-Tigai . " Melodramas "Sure-Tigai" enjoyed increased success with the Japanese public in the 1930s - 1950s . The film has become the leader of Japanese rolled products based on the results of 1953.

Content
Story
Haruki is leaving for Hokkaido , but he is still at the mercy of his memories. Matiko returns to Tokyo to Katsunori. Together they make a trip to the hot springs . They have the second honeymoon, as well as pregnant Matiko just need to recuperate. However, as a result of misunderstanding on the part of the spouse and the worries she experienced, Matiko had a miscarriage. The mother-in-law, domineering and hostile to her, begins to reproach Matiko for this, as if she had lost her child for the reason that he was not wanted by her, conceived by an unloved man. Unable to bear any more reproaches from her mother-in-law, Matiko gives a telegram to his aunt on Sado's island with a request to come to her immediately and help her cope in this intolerable situation for her. Having arrived to support her, all understanding Aunt Nobue starts a rather unpleasant conversation with Katsunori. She reproaches him that he, such a well-known politician, cannot cope with his own mother. And he demands one of two things from him: either Katsunori and Matiko should live separately from his mother, or let him give his wife a divorce. Katsunori is unable to object to his imperious mother, and so Matiko leaves him again and goes to Hokkaido, where he wants to see Haruki and talk to him.
Haruki, who wants to settle permanently in the small village of Bihoro in Hokkaido, and thus far from her beloved Matiko, who is trying to forget her, meets the young beauty Yumi, a representative of the Ainu people, here . Yumi falls in love with Haruki, for whom she breaks up the engagement with the former groom Saburo. Haruki is unable to forget her Matiko and therefore does not reciprocate the girl in love with him. Yumi ends up with herself. Arriving at Haruki, Matiko deliver a telegram from Tokyo. Katsunori appealed to the court for the restoration of marital rights. Overwhelmed with sadness, Makiko and Haruki part again in Bihoro.

About the film
After the huge commercial success of the film “ Your Name ”, the film company “Sjetica” decided to continue to exploit the “gold-bearing vein” and literally three months later it was ready and the second part appeared on the screens. The sequel was even more successful as a result of hire, its fees amounted to 300.02 million yen [2] . He took the first line in the box office in 1953 , beating the first part of the trilogy, which took the second place with the result of 250.47 million yen [2] . It was not surprising that another continuation followed - your name. Part III , released on the screens also literally soon, in less than six months, the fees from the rental of which were even greater - 330.15 million yen [2] and became the leader in the rental of 1954 .
