Shemshak ( pers. شمشک ) is the second largest ski resort in Iran . Founded in 1958 , approved by the International Ski Federation for holding international competitions in winter sports [1] .

Geography
Shemshak is located in Shahrestan, Shemiranat Ostan, Tehran , at an altitude of 2550 meters at the southern foot of Damavand Peak in the Elbor Mountains, 57 km northeast of Tehran . The resort’s road is connected to Tehran and Karaj.
Infrastructure
The Shemshak ski resort is equipped with two chair , two gondola and two rope tows , as well as searchlights, which gives you the opportunity to ski until late at night. The elevation difference in Shemshak ranges from 2550 to 3050 meters. Officially, the season opens in November, and ends in April - May. The resort has 2 hotels and 4 restaurants [1] .
