History

It was first mentioned in the Scribe Book of the Vodskaya Pyatina of 1500, as the village of Olkhovets over Kromenkyu in the Clement Tesovsky graveyard of the Novgorod district [2] [3] .

OLHOVETS - the village belongs to the Oranienbaum Palace Board, the number of inhabitants under the audit: 70 m. p. (1838) [4]

In the explanatory text to the ethnographic map of the St. Petersburg province of P. I. Köppen in 1849, it is recorded as the village of Olchowez ( Olkhovets ) and the number of its inhabitants for 1848 is indicated: Izhora - 78 m., 77 w. n., a total of 155 people [5] .

OLHOVETS - the village of the Oranienbaum Palace Board, on a country road, the number of yards - 22, the number of souls - 77 m. (1856) [6]


OLHOVETS - village, the number of inhabitants according to the Xth revision of 1857: 74 m., 76 w. p. [7]


OLHOVETS - the village of the palace department at the Kremianka River, the number of courtyards - 28, the number of inhabitants: 78 m., 75 w. P.; Orthodox chapel. (1862) [8]

According to the 1882 home inventory:

OLKHOVETS - village of Ozereshinsky society of the Glebovsky volost
houses - 82, shower plots - 74, families - 39, number of inhabitants - 89 m., 112 railways. P.; category of peasants - owners [7]

In the XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Glebovsky volost of the 1st camp of the Luga district of the St. Petersburg province.

According to the military topographic map of the Petrograd and Novgorod provinces of the 1915 edition, the village of Olkhovets consisted of 19 peasant households [9] .

In 1927, the population of the village was 327 people [10] .

According to 1933, the village of Olkhovets was part of the Novinsky village council of the Oredezh district [11] .

From August 1, 1941 to January 31, 1944 she was in occupation.

In 1965, the population of the village was 94 people [10] .

According to the data of 1966, 1973 and 1990, the village of Olkhovets was part of the Novinsky village council of the Gatchinsky district [12] [13] [14] .

In 1997, 30 people lived in the village, in 2002 - 14 people (Russians - 93%), in 2007 - 13 [15] [16] [17] .

Geography

The village is located in the southeastern part of the district on the highway 41K-106 ( Ozereshno - Chashcha ).

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is the urban-type village of Vyritsa , 56 km [17] .

There is a stopping point in the village, a platform of 90 km on the line St. Petersburg - Oredezh . The distance to the nearest railway station Novinka is 5 km [12] .

The village is located on the right bank of the Kremenka River at the confluence of the Big Stream.
