Petr Stepanovich Moshich ( April 27, 1928 , Volosatoe - February 10, 2006 , Kiev ) - medical scientist and pediatrician. Doctor of Medical Sciences ( 1967 ) [1] , professor ( 1968 ). Academician of the Academy of Higher Education of Ukraine ( 1992 ). Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine ( 1984 ). Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine ( 1989 ). Head of the Department of Pediatrics at the National Medical University. A. A. Bogomolets (1983-1996, 2001-2003), head of the Department of Pediatrics at the Medical Institute of the UAMM (1992-2003).

Biography
Pyotr Stepanovich Moshchits was born on April 27, 1928 in the village of Volosatoe, Lviv Voivodeship ( Poland ). In 1946 he graduated from Uzhgorod State University . In 1967, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Features of a malignant rheumatism in children (materials from the clinic, diagnosis and differential diagnosis)."
From 1955 to 1972 he worked as a laborer at the Kiev Medical Institute . For over thirty years, he worked as a professor, as well as the head of the pediatric departments at the National Medical University. A. A. Bogomolets.
Since 1969, Petro Moshchich worked at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine as the chief child infectious disease specialist [2] . Subsequently, he linked his work with the department of childhood infectious diseases.
He died on February 10, 2006 in Kiev .
