The first building of the Minsk hotel complex was built in 1959 (architect Bodanov, style - Stalinist neoclassicism) on the site where the small Novo-Berlin hotel with 9 rooms used to stand (architect Courvoisier).
The second building was built and began to function in 1969 (architects G. Sysoev, D. Kudryavtsev, S. Musinsky), had 7 floors and 105 rooms with 324 beds.
In 1991, reconstruction of the rooms of the first building was carried out. In 1995, the Minsk hotel complex was included in the structure of the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus , and in 2001 it was included in the state list of historical and cultural values of the Republic of Belarus .
In March 2001 - December 2002, the reconstruction of the Minsk hotel complex was carried out. On December 17, 2002, the State Commission signed an act of acceptance of the facility into operation.
On December 18, 2002, the Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Certification under the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, together with the Ministry of Sports and Tourism, assigned the hotel a 4-star category for the first time in Minsk and Belarus. On December 20, 2002, the official opening ceremony of the hotel was held after reconstruction with the participation of A. G. Lukashenko .
In 2005, the hotel received the World Travel Awards in the nomination "The Best Hotel in Belarus" [1] .
